How to 100% Clear Elder Scrolls Morrowind in 11 Simple Steps
Are you tired of wandering around the vast land of Vvardenfell, not knowing what to do or where to go? Do you want to complete every quest, find every secret, and become the ultimate hero of the Dunmer? Follow these 12 simple steps and you will be able to 100% clear Elder Scrolls Morrowind in no time.
Step 1: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and peel and chop some potatoes.
Peel and chop some potatoes (about 4 large ones) and put them in a large pot of water. Bring the water to a boil and cook the potatoes until they are soft, about 15 to 20 minutes. While the potatoes are cooking, you can start your game.
Step 2: Create your character and join a faction.
When you launch Elder Scrolls Morrowind, you will be greeted by a character creation screen. Here you can customize your appearance, race, class, birthsign, and name. Choose whatever suits your playstyle and personality, but keep in mind that some races and classes have advantages and disadvantages in certain skills and attributes. For example, if you want to be a stealthy assassin, you might want to pick a Khajiit or an Argonian with high agility and sneak skills. If you want to be a powerful mage, you might want to pick a Breton or an Altmer with high intelligence and magicka.
After creating your character, you will be released from prison and given some basic instructions by a man named Sellus Gravius. He will also give you a package that you need to deliver to Caius Cosades in Balmora. This is the main quest of the game, but you don’t have to follow it right away. You can explore the world at your own pace and join any of the many factions that exist in Morrowind. Each faction has its own quests, rewards, and reputation system. Some factions are friendly with each other, while others are hostile. You can join as many factions as you want, but be careful not to anger your allies or enemies.
Step 3: Drain the potatoes and mash them with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
Once the potatoes are cooked, drain them and return them to the pot. Add some butter (about 4 tablespoons), milk (about 1/4 cup), salt (about 1 teaspoon), and pepper (to taste) and mash them with a fork or a potato masher until they are smooth and creamy. Set them aside for later.
Step 4: Explore the world and complete quests.
Now that you have joined a faction (or more), you can start exploring the world of Morrowind and completing quests. There are hundreds of quests in the game, ranging from simple fetch quests to complex mysteries. Some quests are given by NPCs (non-player characters), while others are triggered by events or locations. Some quests are part of the main story line, while others are side quests or faction quests. Some quests are easy, while others are hard. Some quests are rewarding, while others are not. You can choose which quests to do or ignore depending on your preferences and goals.
Step 5: Brown some ground beef with onion, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary in a skillet over medium-high heat.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook some
- ground beef (about 1 pound) with:
- chopped onion (about 1/2 cup),
- minced garlic (about 2 cloves),
- salt (about 1/2 teaspoon), pepper (to taste),
- thyme (about 1/2 teaspoon), and
- rosemary (about 1/4 teaspoon)
until the beef is browned and crumbly, and the onion is soft, about 10 to 15 minutes.
Drain the excess fat and set the skillet aside for later.
Step 6: Become Hortator of all three Great Houses.
This is one of the quests for the main story line. You need to prove yourself worthy of being Hortator (leader) of House Hlaalu, House Redoran, and House Telvanni by completing various tasks for each house leader. This will require you to travel across Morrowind and interact with different NPCs. Some of them will support you easily, while others will require persuasion or bribery. Some of them will even challenge you to a duel or try to assassinate you. Once you have gained the support of all three houses, you will be recognized as Hortator by everyone.
Step 7: Transfer the beef mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
Assemble the layers in a baking dish (about 9 x 11 inches) Spoon the beef mixture over the bottom of the dish and spread it evenly with a spatula.
Step 8: Become Nerevarine of all four Ashlander tribes.
This is one of the quests for the main story line. You need to prove yourself worthy of being Nerevarine (reincarnation) of all four Ashlander tribes by completing various trials for each tribe leader. This will require you to travel across Morrowind and interact with different NPCs. Some of them will welcome you warmly, while others will distrust or despise you. Some of them will test your skills or knowledge, while others will ask for favors or gifts. Once you have passed all four trials, you will be recognized as Nerevarine by everyone.
Step 9: Sprinkle some frozen peas and carrots over the beef layer.
To add some color and nutrition, sprinkle some frozen peas and carrots (about 1 cup) over the beef layer.
Step 10: Defeat Dagoth Ur and save Morrowind.
This is the final quest of the main story line. You need to travel to Red Mountain, the volcanic center of Morrowind, where Dagoth Ur,
the archenemy of the Tribunal Temple, resides in his citadel, Akulakhan’s Chamber. You will have to fight your way through his minions,
his ash vampires, and his giant mechanical god, Akulakhan,
also known as Numidium. You will also have to destroy his heart,
the source of his power, with Kagrenac’s Tools, the legendary artifacts of Dwemer origin. Once you do that, you will end his threat forever,
and fulfill your destiny as Nerevarine.
Step 11: Add mashed potatoes and bake
The final layer is the mashed potatoes that you prepared earlier.
Spread them over the vegetable layer with a spatula, making sure
to cover everything evenly.
Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown on top.
You can also sprinkle some grated cheese (about 1/2 cup) over the potato layer before baking if you like.
Congratulations!
